The Professional Koi Dealers Association keeps a constant finger on the pulse of the Koi Industry and the hobby of Koi keeping. From time to time we comment or report on current issues.

PKDA Koi Bags

The Professional Koi Dealers Association supply bags to their members in which to transport and sell Koi. The bags carry the PKDA logo and some basic advice for hobbyists.

It is not permitted for these bags to be used by dealers who are not PKDA members or to be sold to any third party.

Quarantine and Acclimatisation

The advent of Koi Herpesvirus and other serious diseases has made quarantine more important than ever. Sadly those hobbyists who have experienced serious disease see Koi-keeping from a more cautious perspective. It is still a very rewarding hobby that can easily survive any risk posed by disease such as Koi Herpesvirus. All it takes is an understanding of what acclimatisation is and what quarantine can achieve.
