Heat Ramping

Everyone involved with Koi, both dealer and hobbyist, has to face the fact that health problems have increased and Koi Herpes Virus (KHV) is only one potential disease that can inadvertently be introduced into an existing pond of healthy Koi. Quarantine is proven to be a valuable preventative measure but whether chilling and heating should be applied during the isolation period and how long this should last depends on the origins and history of each newly purchased Koi and such decisions are for the individual hobbyist, but should be based on facts.
